What is it?
Love in the Digital Age is a crowdsourced, mashup, multimedia performance produced by Ballet Nouveau Colorado (BNC). The world premiere production of Love in the Digital Age will be February 3-12, 2012 in Denver, Colorado.
We are creating this whole new production with your help. It is an experiment in art, community and technology. We are setting out to create something incredible together. Something that shares our diverse perspectives on love…any kind of love.

Here’s the deal. We are developing the whole thing right here, and a whole bunch of other places on the interwebs. Think of this Tumblr as the hub of all of it.
We started the conversation with a single poem created for this project by the incredible Chris Ransick, you can read New Sugar here.
Here’s where you come in.
Chris’ poem is the “match strike” for this conversation and the creation of this production. You can use New Sugar and any other submission to Love in the Digital Age as inspiration and content. Use them in other mediums, mash them up, change them into something new, or contribute something that is entirely new. It is all up to you.
If it can be transmitted digitally, it can be a part of this project… Well, of course there are some ground rules that you can read here.
We are using Creative Commons licensed and public domain works to make the whole kit and caboodle. There are a ton of ways to participate, even if you aren’t artistically inclined. Visit the how to page to learn, well, how to do it using Vimeo, Flickr, SoundCloud, Protagonize and a whole host of other online tools and resources.
BNC Artistic Director Garrett Ammon along with Poet Chris Ransick and Digital Artist Kris Collins will curate the conversation and then mold all of these ideas into an evening length dance performance that will have its world premiere performance in Lakewood, Colorado on February 3, 2012.
